In the heart of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago, on Isla San Cristobal, nestled in the shelter of the bay, E J L offers its visitors the discovery of a rich and varied tropical nature. Between the astonishing mangroves, a wooded park preserving rare species, and the lush jungle, discovery is made at every turn. The balance between the plant world and the fauna offers extraordinary biodiversity. An ideal observation site to admire, against the backdrop of the bay with its changing lights, an intense tropical life where howler monkeys, sloths, multicolored butterflies, hummingbirds, and various species of parrots and toucans coexist... If you would like to share our experience in the heart of our Eden, we offer rooms combining comfort and simplicity. Equipped with a king-size bed, you can rest in complete peace thanks to its adapted equipment of mosquito nets above the bed but also at the openings of the room, fans in the room and in the bathroom, hot water and sanitary facilities. Electricity from our solar panels with individual lamp on the bedside to recharge. The decoration brings warmth and relaxation
We are a couple from New Zealand and Louisiana couple who fell in love with this magical place. We have made it our mission to preserve this Eden and share it with nature lovers like us. Each of us specializes in our own field: For her, on land with its rich tropical botanical diversity For him, on the sea with the magnificent sites in the archipelago and its surprising wildlife With our shared and varied experience (hotel, horticultural, construction, and maritime), we are delighted to welcome our visitors to this little corner of paradise and introduce them to this beautiful environment.
Being located on an island, travel is only by boat. We can pick you up whether you're arriving from the mainland via Almirante or by plane via Isla Colon, Bocas Town. We also offer excursions to various beautiful sites in the archipelago. You can freely use our kayaks, as well as our electric kayaks (for a fee), or paddleboards to explore the bay in complete peace.
