Husband and wife, Bob and Melissa began 148 Guesthouse and Resort back in 2020 when they moved from Bali, Indonesia to Alaminos City and purchased the derelict property. 3 years later, they were able to finally open stage 1 of creating something incredibly unique and special in Alaminos.
Now in 2024, we have created six homely rooms with beautiful surroundings to compliment our love for the community and life in the Philippines. Focusing on sustainability owners Bob who also work in renewable energy and wife, Meliza, owner of BaliBerry Swimwear, swimwear created from recycled ocean waste materials. envision to become the first eco-friendly resort in Alaminos City using locally sourced materials and natural resources.
The family home remains within the guesthouse ground while the outside spaces are communally used between the owners and guests. We have two friendly dogs who live on site at the guesthouse. They will freely interact with guests around the property. They are both very friendly and are fully vaccinated.

Guests can use all the communal outdoor spaces at the property including dining area, guest kitchen, bbq grill and pool. The only off-limits areas are the main house and beyond the fence line in the back garden.
There's a number of restaurants within walking distance of the guesthouse as well as delivery services to order takeout. Alaminos is a bustling tourist town with a number of local sari-sari's and wet/dry markets. There's a number of local bars to watch some amazing live music.
The Hundred Islands port is located just 1.1km away, and it's the best spot in the area for watching the sunrise over the islands.
Alaminos City, located in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines, is best known for being the home of the Hundred Islands National Park, which is composed of 124 islands and home to the youngest mayor in The Philippines, Arth Bryan C. Celeste.
The city hosts a number of festivals throughout the year. In particular, the Hundred Islands Festival. This is the most anticipated summer event in the city. Alaminians flock together in thanksgiving during the Grand Parade honouring the city's patron, St. Joseph, on March 19.
The festivities continue through a vibrant month-long celebration packed with must-see activities like the longanisa Grill Fest, agri-trade fair, street dancing competition, dog shows, Ginuman Fest and much more. Fiesta nights can feature mini-concerts, sing and dance contests, sports tournaments, exhibits, and fireworks display. Miss Hundred Islands Pageant is also a must-see when visiting in April.
