Apt. Banda do Sol is in the village of Loreto which is a parish of Arco da Calheta. This little village has its own small supermarket or little shops that sell oven made bread on Saturdays. A very good restaurant called Naye just down the street and a local Poncha bar to have a night cap and walk some. You will get to know the locals and hthe will enjoy greating you. Just 10 minutes down to the via express which it the street that takes you all over the island. The calheta Beach is also 10 minutes aswel. There you will find other restaurants and supermarket. Up the street you will get to the famous 25 fountains levada in Paul da serra or just the levada nova which is walking distance. Always best to have a car but if you just want to have a relaxing holiday and stay around the house, then you dont need a car. Can always arrange with our local Taxi man, Ernesto to take you around.
