Esmee and Laurens are a young couple who dreamed of leaving the rush of the big city behind. After two and a half years of lovingly renovating two Portuguese farmhouses, they opened Helder — a rustic farm stay in Portugal where slow living, connection and simplicity take center stage.

Helder Farm Studios, nestled in the quiet hills of South Alentejo, is a place to slow down and reconnect with nature. Set on 7.5 hectares, the farm offers six private studios, gardens and roaming animals. Mornings start with soft light, birdsong and fresh eggs, while wild beaches are just a short drive away. Here, simplicity becomes luxury—the art of nothing, the magic of everything.

Helder is located in the peaceful South Alentejo, surrounded by rolling hills, cork oak forests and the timeless rhythm of rural life.
