Herdade’s accommodation includes 2 independent houses, 4 suites with living rooms, 2 double rooms and 2 bungalows. Each one is decorated in traditional style and some have wooden beamed ceilings and a fire place. They all open up to terraces and gardens.
As part of the experience, you join in daily farming activities. Bikes can be borrowed from the farm free of charge, allowing you to explore the countryside.
Herdade Ribeira de Borba also includes a multipurpose room for conferences. WiFi is available in public areas and is free of charge.
The Herdade is located 5km away from Vila Viçosa, which features the Palácio Ducal castle and the Marble Museum. The historical villages of Estremoz, Redondo, and Monsaraz are nearby. Barragem do Alqueva Lake is only 15 minutes’ drive away.

Located 5 km from Vila Viçosa, Herdade Ribeira de Borba provides the perfect retreat in full contact with the countryside.
Herdade's accommodation includes 2 independent houses: 3 studios, 2 domes and on the top of a hill 10 independent rooms - 4 suites and 2 double bedrooms that can be used by groups and for retreat purposes – with a kitchen and living room area closed by.
You can enjoy Montado’s beautiful scenery from the spacious outdoor areas and 2 amazing swimming pools.
Every room is decorated in traditional style. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning. And they all open up to terraces and gardens.
As part of the experience, there are also walking and training paths you can discover during you stay. WiFi and cable internet is available in every room and public areas and it's free of charge.
We have a private chef ready to prepare light meals during the day and dinner on request. And we are glad to adapt to special needs.
This is the perfect place for a romantic escape, a family trip or an adventure among friends.
Neighbourhood information
Located just 5 km away is the lovely Vila Viçosa where you can visit the Ducal Palace , one of the most emblematic monuments of the village and the Medieval Castle. You can also take a tour to see its incredible churches.
The town of Redondo is 25km from the homestead, with privileged views of the impressive Serra d' Ossa " where the ground tapirs are born and the streets are covered with paper flowers ."
A little further away is the typical village of Monsaraz with privileged views of the Alentejo countryside .
The city of Estremoz with a lively cultural life is known for its many wineries . Ideal place to get to know the regional wine. It is very likely that when visiting us is happening a fair in Estremoz.
