Located in the heart of Transylvania, Ensana Sovata is only 200 metres from the helio-thermal Lake Bear, featuring salty water. It offers free WiFi and a breakfast buffet. A free ticket to the Lake Bear is provided in July and August. Lake Bear (Lacu Ursu), the only helio-thermal lake on the continent, heats up to 50 degrees Celsius due to sun energy absorbed through the upper, fresh-water layers. It is also called the Dead Sea of Transylvania because of its high concentration of dissolved salts.
