Property information
Välkommen till Hoby Gård, som ligger högt och vackert vid
östra infarten till Bräkne-Hoby. Hoby Gård är en herrgårdsbyggnad
med anor från 1600-talet, som då ägdes av kungen men beboddes
av folk som brukade gården och fick hyra den.
Gården friköptes på 1700-talet och under mitten av 1800 talet
byggdes gården om och sen dess har den sett likadan ut som idag.
Här har en gång funnits ett brännvinsbränneri och vid ingången till
Hoby Gård ligger en upp och nergrävd gravhall från den gamla
kyrkan i Bräkne Hoby som revs 1860.
Som gäst på Hoby Gård kan du känna historiens vingslag samtidigt
som du njuter av den vackra miljön i den varsamt renoverade
herrgården.

Hoby Gård ligger mitt i Bräkne-Hoys kulturkvarter,
där bland annat den vackra kyrkan, hembygdsmuseet, Folkhögskolan och Bräknebygdens Kulturhus ligger.
I Kulturhuset finns biblioteket och föreningen Bygd i Samverkan ordnar utställningar hela året. Utanför Kulturhuset finns besöksparken “Svenmanska parken”.
I anslutning till kulturkvarteren ligger även Arkivcentrum, med bland annat Blekingearkivet, späckad med historia både från Blekinge och övriga Sverige.
