This refurbished 1600s farmhouse is situated on Tjörn Island, 18 km from Stenungsund. It provides free Wi-Fi, a fully equipped shared kitchen and rooms with a flat-screen TV. Lekanders Bär & Boende has been owned by the same family for 9 generations. Each room has a bathroom with a shower. Some feature a private patio. A breakfast buffet is served daily. In summer, guests can grill in the garden. Strawberries, black currant and raspberries are grown on site. Bär & Boende’s common room features a TV, newspapers and dart facilities. Children have access to a playground with swings and a trampoline. Gåre Beach is 3 km from Bär & Boende, while Tjörn Golf Club is 4 km away. Gothenburg is reached in less than 1 hour by car.

The farm has been in the family since the 17th century. We grow berries, cereals and there is a small forrest connected to the farm. The summers are intense with selfpicking, deliveries of berries to all stores on the island and with all guests coming to our farm. In the winter time we make jam, chop Christmas trees and go skiing. We just started a microbrewery; the beer can be bought at a few restaurants on the island. Our jam is sold here!
My name is Anso Lekander and I was born and raised on Tjörn. I have lived here almost all my life. I live on the farm with my husband and three sons + my parents.
Tjörn has a very varied nature, from the harsh small islands on the western side to the beautiful park at Sundsby säteri on the north eastern part. Don't miss out on Klädesholmen or Skärhamn, they look exactly what you would expect of the Swedish west coast. The Nordic Watercolour Museum, the sculpture park at Pilane and the hikingtrail on Dyrön are mandatory!
