Our chalet is perfectly nestled in the serene village of Borjana, just a few kilometers from Kobarid, the Italian border, and the medieval town of Cividale del Friuli. It offers the perfect escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Our unique property, recognized as part of Slovenia's national heritage, blends tradition and modern comfort. Built with respect for its original structure, the chalet has been thoughtfully modernized to provide warmth, charm, and modern amenities.
With grand south-facing windows, the chalet is bathed in sunlight from dawn to dusk. Inside, you’ll find 100 m² of space, including two bedrooms, a cozy living room, an open-plan kitchen, a large dining area, and two bathrooms with showers. Two charming chill-out areas, accessible by wooden ladders, offer additional spots to unwind. A balcony overlooks the Mia and Matajur mountains and the Nadiza River on clear days, while the garden invites you to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The chalet is a fantastic destination year-round. In winter, it’s just 1 hour from the Monte Lussari ski destination in Italy and 1.5 hours from Villach in Austria. In summer the many nearby outdoor activities make it perfect for nature escapes. The property is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and heating for a comfortable stay. Guests also have access to a pure natural water source in the nearby village, adding a special touch to the experience.
In Kobarid, a fantastic organic supermarket offers local produce, cheeses, fresh vegetables, honey, wine, and more to enhance your stay.
Whether you’re seeking tranquility, adventure, or cultural discoveries, our chalet provides the perfect setting for a memorable escape. We look forward to welcoming you to this magical corner of Slovenia!
After 20 odd years in London we decided 2023 to pack our bags and belongings and move to Slovenia.
The unspoiled beauty of the Julian Alps and the close proximity of Italy and Austria made this an easy escape of the big city we have lived in before, with nature on our doorstep but the possibility to visit other countries in no time at all.
We are both keen travelers, foodies, cycling enthusiasts, nature lovers and always open for new adventures.
