An authentic green environment with vast forests and a variety of possibilities for many activities are just a few words to describe Pohorje and the Šumik Nature Reserve, where the Šumik Estate is located away from the bustling city life. The centrepiece of the estate is the house, which was renovated with the help of local craftsmen between 2016 and 2020. The rental of the central house and its surroundings is suitable for larger groups of guests (up to 15 people) for relaxation, escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, digital disconnection and other group meetings. The house offers: - Six boutique rooms with en-suite bathrooms, - dining room, - professional kitchen, - meeting/social room, - a reception shed with a cloakroom, - bicycle storage room.
Welcome to Šumik - a charming estate in the heart of the forests of Pohorje. We are Pavlina and Veronika, two sisters who grew up on an organic farm, studied and worked in the city, and now proudly take care of our forest jewel, Šumik Estate. Come here to relax, meditate, discover nature and escape the daily routine. We look forward to your visit.
Pohorje offers a wide range of activities during your stay at the Šumik Estate. There are many hiking trails in the immediate vicinity and thousands of kilometres of mountain-biking forest trails and roads, suitable for both family cycling and more demanding mountain bikers. The Pohorje trails will take you to beautiful natural and cultural sights, the most famous of which are: the Black Lake, the waterfalls of Veliki and Mali Šumik, the Lovren Lakes, the Church of St. Areth, the Jesen Partisan Hospital and many others.
