Edmond is located across from Fayetteville WV, which is five minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge ( the longest arch bridge in the western hemisphere.). Hence, parts of Edmond and Beauty Mountain are located in the New River Gorge National Park. Short Creek is part of Beauty Mountain, which is home to climbing, trails and waterfalls. The home is located on Beauty Mountain and abuts the New River Gorge National Park at Short Creek. Short Creek actually runs through the 8.75 acre property. Wildlife is abundant. Deer, bear, fox, turkey, raccoons, coyotes, turtles, frogs and snakes can be seen on a daily basis. No hunting please. Activities, such as rafting, kayaking, guided tours and ziplining are available through our partner, Adventures on the Gorge (https://adventuresonthegorge.com). Quaint shopping and restaurants are available in downtown Fayetteville, WV, Oakhill, WV and surrounding towns.
