Casa Magnolia Bed and Breakfast is a beautiful Victorian home built in 1906 by Jacob Stockey, owner of a large brick company in St. Louis. Jacob built the house as a wedding present for his daughter Edith. Since then, it has been a home to Charles Galloway, the 1904 World's Fair organist, Charles Galloway Jr. and his wife Patricia, Dave Lehleitner (who married widowed Patricia), and finally us; the Felix family.
Casa Magnolia offers an abundance of amenities during your stay at our Victorian bed and breakfast. There are plenty of places to relax and kick back after a day of sight seeing or visiting relatives. On the second floor with the guest rooms is a library, complete with a television, books, games, and free wifi. During the winter months, chill out on comfy leather furniture and cozy up to the fireplace with a good read or movie.
Guests are also welcome to use the downstairs parlour and entrance room. Have an early cup of coffee or tea in front of the beautiful Italian marble mantle, or watch the day brighten through the lead glass windows, original to the house.
During summer months, sit on the front porch swing, take a dip in the pool, and enjoy the birds and flowers
We, Lillabet and Jordi, are the proud owners and innkeepers of Casa Magnolia B&B. We have been hosting guests and making friends for almost 13 years, and we are looking forward to meeting you. Lillabet grew up in the Chicago area and Jordi is from Spain. We are both graduates of St. Louis University, where we met 25 years ago. Lillabet's first love is music and sings in a barbershop quartet (Lilac Wine), enjoys knitting and rug-hooking, antiquing and decorating, and is now a great baker and breakfast chef. She speaks Spanish and is currently learning Catalan. Jordi likes to watch and practice almost all sports, specially soccer (Atletico de Madrid) and tennis. He enjoys gardening and growing tomatoes and peppers from Spain. We both love travelling, outdoor activities, getting to know our B&B guests and making new friends.
