Hi, I'm Pat McAllister. My husband Joe, an I are owners of Cherokee Mountain. ( I am Echota Cherokee). We live on the property , so are usually available if you need us.
We lived in Europe for 13 years ( Spain , Italy, and Germany ), where I studied and taught art. I am now a professional artist .We have a beautiful art gallery in which the cabin office is located. Hope you'll visit the Gallery during you stay with us.
Cherokee Mountain is a beautiful place, surrounded by 400 uninhabited acres. There are hiking trails and spectacular views for you to enjoy . We are very small and very private with only four guest accommodations on our 48 acres.
As mentioned, the cabin office is located inside the art gallery. If the Gallery is closed, no problem. On the front door, there will be a note explaining that your packet is located in a mail box on the gate to your right. The mail box is on the drivers side of the gate. The gate will be open,it is well lit, and framed with beautiful stone work. If there is a problem or a question, the office phone number is on the check in packet. WE look forward to having you as a guest at beautiful Cherokee Mountain!

Cherokee Mountain is blessed by Mother Nature in that there is something to enjoy in every season. April brings Tulips, Daffodils and Redbuds, to issue in a beautiful spring. In summer, enjoy swimming, fishing, or canoeing in near by Kings River or hike the mountain trail here on Cherokee Mountain (the view from the top is spectacular ). Of coarse, summer is a time for BBQ, so light up the grill. Everyone enjoys the color of Fall trees, and in winter, cozy up to the wood burning fire place. Or, if you prefer, build a fire in the outside fire pit ( wood provided ).
What ever you do, we hope you will find the peace and relaxation offered by this beautiful place, and that you will return from time to time.

Cherokee mountain is off Hwy 62 (the major highway going through Eureka ) and
three an a half miles from the city limits, so, easy drive into town. However, due to the fact that we are situated on 48 privately owned acres and surrounded by 400 uninhabited acres, there is that quite feeling of being in the woods and out in the country. We are close to the Kings River for canoeing, fishing and swimming. Not far is Beaver Lake, where pontoon boats and jet skis can be rented, and the White River for Trout fishing. There are several golf courses in the ares. We are 3 miles from The Great Passion Play. Eureka has some great restaurants( we'd be glad to give our recommendations if you'd like.) We think you will find many things to enjoy.
