Tami recently retired from a long career in medical lab technology. Her husband, Jason, is soon to be a retired police officer in Florida. They have been coming regularly to Beech Mountain for 29+ years.
When she was a teenager, her parents had friends that owned a chalet below the ski lodge. Her brother & sister & her could not wait until their yearly vacation which usually consisted of going back to Beech.
When she and her husband started dating, she knew she had to share her love for the area with him.
Over the years they traveled to other parts of the country to ski, but found that Beech Mountain was truly the best place for skiing & snowboarding on the eastern side of the US.
When their children were young, they decided to become seasonal residents there so between the skiing, inner tubing, ice-skating, & sledding, their children have grown to love & enjoy the winter sports on the mountain as much as they did.
Beech mountain has something for everyone!
In the spring when everything starts to bloom & the animals become active, it is truly a majestic site to behold.
In the summer, the average temperature at our cabin is around 70* therefore never getting uncomfortably warm with nights that always dip into the 50s & 60s.
In the fall, it is the most breathtaking place to be with all the vivid colors & temps that make you just want to be outside all day. You can't miss the The Woolly Worm festival in Oct that brings so much excitement & vendors to Banner elk.
Winter brings with it, a spectacular white wonderland. The evergreens are thick with snow & the deer roam freely in your backyard.
The plethora of activities will keep you busy all day & the fires at night will keep you warm and cozy while you rest and get ready to wake up and do it all again.
We are so excited to share our home with you, but more excited for you to experience and create precious
memories with your family as we have.
