We are a family of five living in Pullman, WA on the beautiful Palouse. We spent a couple of years living in Phoenix and 12 years living in Chicago before making our way home to the Pacific Northwest. In between, we spent a year traveling the U.S. as digital nomads, which was a fantastic adventure for our whole family. We love traveling and we love travelers, and we're thrilled to be able to provide a comfortable place for people to stay.

Adorable one-bed, one-bath sunny basement apartment right in the heart of Pullman. Five-minute walk to downtown, two blocks from the Chipman trail. Bus to campus stops right in front of the house.
The apartment includes a newly remodeled kitchen and living room, and a bedroom and bathroom. The ceilings and door frames are a smidge low. If you are taller than 6'4", just duck a bit as you make your way from the living room to the bedroom. The apartment is in the lower level of a two-story house, and we have installed as much soundproofing between the floors as we can. However, you still may hear some footsteps or muffled voices from the upstairs unit sometimes.
We have a king bed in the bedroom.

The house is a short walk to downtown—easy to walk to restaurants or coffee shops on a nice day—and not a bad walk to the WSU campus (less than a mile to the edge of campus and 1.4 miles to Martin Stadium).
Straight down State Street is The Lumberyard, a unique space with a bunch of restaurants. That's a 5-minute walk, tops.
Like all of Pullman, you will have to walk uphill one way, no matter where you go. (They don't call them "Cougar calves" for nothing. :)) Our neighborhood is residential—lots of old houses. State Street is not a super busy street, but also not a sleepy side street. We're close enough to Grand Avenue that you can hear traffic if you have the bedroom windows open, but we've never found it intrusive. (We lived upstairs for 5 years.) Pullman in general is a very safe place, and we feel comfortable walking around any time of day or night.
