Casey grew up in the country while Dan has been more or less a lifetime city dweller. We met in Columbus and Casey was anxious to share her love of the Hocking Hills region, something that goes back many years. We never dreamt that we would own a cabin of our own there, but are excited at the chance to host guests at our home away from home, where we go when we need a respite from the hectic day-to-day. We love traveling, having visited France, China, Russia, Ireland, Spain, Greece, The Netherlands, and Mexico over the years, and hope that list just continues to grow. Across all of those trips, the hospitality we received was always crucial in shaping our travels and we hope to provide the absolute best to all of our guests. We are here for you during your stay, but allow our guests the freedom to enjoy the cabin without interruption. If needed, we also employ a local host who is available 24, 7 for any issues involving the cabin.

It is a very quiet area. There are a few year-round neighbors that you will see from the road when driving to and from the cabin, but you will feel quite secluded at the cabin itself (you are able to see one of the neighbor homes from the rear of the cabin, but may go your entire stay without seeing them, should you choose). As noted, these are year-round neighbors, so we request that guests show respect to them while staying in the cabin. We have informed our neighbors of our No Parties, No Events policy and have encouraged them to contact local authorities if they see clear signs that it is being violated. During the winter months, if inclement weather (snow and ice) accumulates, it would be best to use a 4wd vehicle for access to the Chalet. We employ a snow plowing service to have the driveway clean and clear for guests when snow accumulates more than 3 inches, but we can not make promises regarding when the driveway will be plowed.
