It was always Christine & Jason's dream to retire to a historic home and entertain guests. A bed and breakfast seemed to fit the bill.

Property information

The entire first floor of our Historic Hannibal, Missouri bed and breakfast has been restored, not renovated, back to its 1870’s splendor. The wallpapers have been custom made for the home, and several of the original pieces the Garth's entered into the house are still here for your enjoyment. All four seasons bring a different light to the inn, and each one is more grand than the previous. The landscape is here for your enjoyment including the trails throughout the estate. History and a relaxing stay await you here at The Garth.

Mark Twain brought Hannibal, Missouri alive through his depictions of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn’s adventures in this Mississippi River town. This is the perfect lodging option from which to enjoy all the attractions and activities Hannibal, MO has to offer while enjoying our Inn in the countryside of Hannibal's city limits. For many guests, their arrival at Garth Woodside Mansion starts the beginning of a relaxing stay not venturing beyond the beautiful gardens, birdlife and solitude of this lovely estate. For others, a day of exploring in the old Huck Finn tradition is what they’ve come for.
