This house has been a dream of ours for a long time. We are from the DC area, have two young kids, a menagerie of animals and wanted a place within an easy drive of DC on the water where we, and our friends, can come to get out of the hustle. The second we drove into Montross, we instantly fell in love with it. It's oozing with charm, super friendly people and really fun things to do! We think the Northern Neck is the best kept secret in the area. We’ve done a lot of work to try to make it the best experience possible for you and yours. Please reach out to us if you need anything at all and we hope you have a wonderful stay!
★PROXIMITY TO ATTRACTIONS★ Beyond the property, Montross offers a variety of recreational activities such as hiking trails, beaches, a roller rink, golf courses, wineries, breweries and charming local shops. Discover the history of the area by visiting George Washington's Birthplace, Stratford Hall, or Historic Christ Church. 8 Miles to downtown Montross 11 Miles to Stratford Hall 12 Miles to Beach/State Park 18 Miles to Warsaw We are located in a rural area in a neighborhood-like setting close to town. You can walk, bike or run for miles safely around the house and there are many nearby trails. You will need a car to get around to any of the attractions. -The house is located in a natural & wooded area, so you may see & hear bugs, bald eagles and ospreys and other birds, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible around the property, or in it. Please keep the doors closed. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property. -The house is on a well and septic system. Misuse will result in a fee.
