Kirk and Denise Schauer: We are the owners of Hope Inn Redding and live on-sight. We are the founders of Seeds of Hope International Partnerships and spent 17 years working in Africa bringing clean water and sustainable community development. We bought this property with the vision to create a place of rest and restoration, not only for ourselves when we are here in the United States but for others who were looking to be refreshed. Come drink in the beauty of creation and enjoy a peaceful stay at Hope Inn.

Hope Inn is situated on 3 1/2 acres, in a residential area just 1.5 miles from Interstate 5, Bethel Church, and 2 miles from Simpson University. The property is peaceful, quiet, and full of natural beauty yet just a few minutes to restaurants and shopping. We love to enjoy nature right out our door watching the beautiful seasonal Churn Creek and our local wildlife. There are over 30 bird species who visit the property as well as deer, squirrels, and an occasional fox, river otter or beaver.
One of our favorites outings is Turtle Bay Museum and Park or we love to visit the "Sundial Bridge" and walk along the Sacramento River enjoying the ever-changing beauty of various seasons throughout the year. Whiskey Town Lake is also a wonderful spot to visit on hot summer days, the water is cool and refreshing, a perfect spot for swimming and picnicking. If you are willing to drive a bit out of town Mt. Shasta, Mt Lassen and Burney Falls are wonderful for walking, hiking and exploring. In the City of Redding, there are some great locally-owned restaurants to try or if you enjoy theater a live performance at the Cascade Theater is a real treat.
