We have a spacious, 2-story home on the Kings River, with 3 bedrooms for guests. We've designed each room with themes that will mentally transport you to the ocean in the Seaside room (queen, upstairs), to Africa in our Savanna Comfort room (queen, upstairs), and to the old west in the Bunkhouse (full), downstairs). The park-like backyard is 2/3 of an acre. Stroll to the river’s edge and be mesmerized by the sight and sound of the water or sit outside with birdsongs in the morning and the lullaby of frogs and crickets at night.
We (Tim & Teresa) are retirees who want to take our love of sharing our home and entertaining to new levels. We love to cook, bake, and decorate cookies, and of course, share what we’ve made with others. Tim is creative, artistic, and quite the craftsman—he completed much of the work when we built our home. Teresa loves to walk, read, and write, and strives to keep the heartiest of plants alive. Pauline, Tim’s mom, is our lively full time guest.
We love to host and entertain. We have a beautiful home, and we have always considered ourselves blessed to have it. Since our home was built in 2007, we have adopted the philosophy that it is meant to be shared with others. The property is on the Kings River, and it's an idyllic setting for parties and events. We've hosted numerous weddings, graduation ceremonies, birthdays, and retirement parties. We're very glad that you're considering our home and its rooms for your mid-term stay.
Custom-built homes have either waterfront property on the Kings River, a creek branch of the river, or a man-made lake. Each home has a unique architectural style since homes were first built in the 1960s, and the neighborhood has grown over six decades. The neighborhood is laid out in a Figure 8 pattern, so it makes a 2.3 mile loop for walking, running, or cycling. It's a very safe place where neighbors look out for each other, wave, and stop to visit. Community holiday events are lots of fun for all!
