The Lang House on Main Street is a bed and breakfast that offers guests more than they expect. We maintain our interiors and exterior to a high standard. Our objective is to create a great guest experience. I and the talented staff members warmly greet guests and are ready to assist or advise. Our breakfast fare is delicious and creative. If a guest has a dietary restriction or preference, we do our best to accommodate that need. Every morning, guests choose one of three different breakfast entrees; and for guests who stay for multiple nights, the savory and sweet breakfast entrees are not repeated. In the afternoon, guests enjoy complimentary cookies and tea. Also as a convenience for guests, we offer for sale a variety of sparkling, red and white wines, craft beers and local hard ciders. Vermont is well known for its artisanal cheeses, and we offer for sale a selection of four local cheeses, homemade spiced nuts and crackers. We all strive, every day, to live up to our tag line: Lang House -- Combining 19th Century Charm with 21st Century Service.
A reformed fund raiser turned innkeeper! I learned a lot about people and what they need and want as a university fund raiser. These people skills translated well to the world of hospitality. I am family oriented; I come for a large family, have three grown children and one grandchild. Everyone who works here is part of the Lang family or Team Lang, as some call us. I love dogs; my two small ones grace the inn and make new friends daily. I am a hands-on innkeeper and cultivate these skills in the young staff members who work here. Staff members truly love their jobs and our guests. I cook, garden, decorate, read, enjoy high and low culture, and travel when I can. With two children living on the west coast, much of my travel is dictated by their California and Oregon locations. I love living in Burlington, Vermont and expect to live on the Lang House property for years to come.
