Built in 1898, the Manor House is perfect place to rest, reset, and reconnect – whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just need a weekend escape. Guests enjoy taking a step back in time to the picturesque New England countryside at our intimate 9-room inn, tucked away on 5 acres of lawn and gardens in Connecticut’s lovely Litchfield Hills. Digital detox and nature-immersion is highly encouraged. We are an adult-oriented property.
We encourage you to visit the website directly to best understand the grounds, facilities, and room amenities and to see the special packages available (which cannot be seen or booked on expedia). Please note: rooms are located on the second and third floors accessed by two stairways (there is no elevator).
We have many scenic outdoor areas for you to enjoy during your visit- including patios, a gazebo, and paired Adirondack chairs scattered throughout our expansive lawn and country gardens. Two of our suites, the Spofford and Morgan, also offer private balconies where you can enjoy your morning coffee or take in spectacular sunset views over the trees. Our activities page includes countless recommendations for nearby destinations including wineries, breweries, hiking, kayaking, hot air ballooning, live music (Infinity Music Hall is steps away, as is Yale's Summer School of Music) and other adventures
Our 7 spacious suites and 2 deluxe rooms all have private en suite baths. Each room is unique and offers a King or Queen bed and spacious sitting area. Additional amenities include private balconies, gas or wood burning fireplaces and oversized whirlpool and soaking tubs in select rooms. Kindly visit the website directly for more details and photos. Be sure to visit the Litchfield Hills Activities tab on our website to see all there is to enjoy.
