Built in 1910 as the estate of a local businessman Joeseph A. Lauerman, the house was hailed as one of the most beautiful examples of a colonial revival architecture. Ornate birds eye maple, mahogany and elaborate wood trims and original art glass chandeliers reflect the grace and charm of a bygone era.
The Lauerman House resides in the Historical District of downtown Marinette and across the quiet side street from the Menominee River where you can sit on the front porch to relax and enjoy the view. The Lauerman House also resides by a railroad track where occasionally a train will pass through. We are only minutes from from shops, local antique shops and Michigan.
Neighbourhood information
Personalized service and elegant modern accommodations in each of our seven guest rooms- each with a private bath. All beds are fitted with goose down duvets. Two suites each with a two person jacuzzi tub, one with a private wood burning fireplace, and both with an amazing view of the river. Relax in the living room and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine from our "honor" bar on the main level. Winter months- enjoy the wood burning fire place in the living room. Price of room includes breakfast.
