Property information

My Side of the Mountain is named after my favorite childhood book by Jean Craighead George. It is such a great book filled with adventure, mountains, creativity, courage and independence along with sharing with us the beauty of nature. The cabin is located in the very popular, Ockenden Ranch. A prime location, just a mile to stores, restaurants, and short distance to the lake. Shaver Lake is the perfect place to vacation. The climate is ideal with cool summers and mild winters.

This is the perfect place for your family or a small group of friends. Enjoy close proximity to Shaver Lake's amenities. Keep your eyes peeled for a deer passing by. Sit on the deck as you gaze at the stars in the crisp mountain air. You will find yourself relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings while spending quality time with family and friends. During vacations, I love to recharge, read a book, experience nature, enjoy good food, eat lots of ice-cream, explore, hike and have deep conversations under the stars. We are located less than 2 miles from the restaurants of Shaver Lake and just 3.5 miles from the marina. Whether summer, fall, winter, or spring is your favorite time of year, there is always something to do in Shaver.
