My Dad Albert and Step-mom Lorna co-founded Kilauea Lodge a restaurant and inn. They "retired" and sold the Lodge in 2018 but kept four of the charming off-site properties as vacation rentals. I'm helping them out by hosting these rentals. I love to travel and want the places I stay to be clean, comfortable, and encourage long talks and laughter--just like our homes.
I'm a "bookish" person and especially love cozying up on the couch with the fireplace going and reading contemporary fiction, mysteries, or historical fiction. Reading has taught me so much about other people and their lives, loves, challenges, and victories. I am a mood reader, library lover, and don't have a problem DNFing (Did Not Finish) a book that's not for me. I've selected some of my favorite recent books for you to enjoy during your visit.
More...I also love walking in nature, photography, drinking coffee, cooking with my family, tasting local food, and playing table games Codenames, Dixit, and Ticket to Ride. These are all things that you can do when you stay at one of our homes. Volcano Village is one of my very favorite places in the world and I hope you come spend some time here!
