Perfect for 2 families or 3 couples to make memories. 90 min from DC. Secluded 3.5 mountain acres. Sleep-in or rise early, enjoy the outdoors or stay in - this place has something for everyone. Wake up to the sounds of nature and views of the mountains - watch wildlife right outside the window. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee by the fireplace or on deck, play cornhole, board games, cozy up by the fire, swing, watch the sunset or the stars on the hammock. Near JMU & Shenandoah National Parks.
Both of us have professional careers and we love traveling; sometimes to adventurous places and other times to the virgin nature and away from city life. We realize that time with our kids and families is so precious, so we decided to have a big enough place to spend fun quality family time. El-Gabal Retreat was the result of that.
We are up in the Sundance Mountains ⛰, A mile plus of steep gravel road to get to the cabin. JMU and the city of Harrisonburg are about 20 minutes away. The Shenandoah National Park and its hiking trails are about 20 minutes away as well. A few local restaurants in the area - about a 10-minute drive.
