We have both lived in Central California since the 1970's. Originally, we came to the area to attend nearby Universities --- Aaron attending the University of California at Santa Cruz, and Lynn attending the Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey. Aaron is from Southern California (a "SoCal Refugee" is what he calls himself), while Lynn is a native of New York City ('nuf said!). We met in Monterey in the mid-nineties and have been together since.
Aaron is retired from Federal Government service, where he worked for 25 years on marine fisheries, conservation, and reserves. Lynn is retired from the international import/export/retail business.
Both of us are well traveled, and understand the needs and wishes of travelers. Aaron has lived in Asia and Africa for a total of about five years, besides traveling throughout most of the rest of the world. Lynn was a international buyer for a large import company in San Francisco. While in that position, Lynn specialized in South Asian and Eastern European imports, traveling extensively throughout those areas.
Looking forward to your visit!
Arnold is a small community in the Sierra Mountains of California. Arnold sits on Highway 4 that transverses the Sierras from the western foothills east through Ebbetts Pass National Scenic Byway towards Nevada. Just uphill from Arnold is Bear Valley ski resort, and just downhill is Murphy's and the Calaveras winery area. Arnold is surrounded by the Stanislaus National Forest, with all of it's recreational amenities (hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc.).
