Dieu-Donnee River Lodge was established in 1986 by the current owners. Wim & Antoinette Meyer with their two daughters Jacqueline and Angelique re-located from Gauteng where Wim was a technical engineer and Antoinette in the banking industry. They bought the vacant piece of land next to the river in Southport and over the years changed their private residence into a successful Guest house. They called it Dieu-Donnee (French) which means “Gift from God”.
It just feels so good that other people can also enjoy the peace and beauty of the property. For many business men and travelers over the past years, Dieu-Donnee became a second home where they can rest, relax and continue with their journey.
We continue looking forward to welcoming guests at Dieu-Donnee River Lodge and to fulfill their expectations.
