Your hosts Brian and Nicole Barnes are passionate about people and about hospitality. The building and developing of Gull on the Bay Boutique Guest House has been a 12 year project for Brian and he is delighted to share his beautiful home on the beachfront with future Guests. Brian left his corporate career after a very successful 23 year career to pursue his dream of owning and running an up market and Boutique Guest house. Brian pursued studies in Accounting and Engineering but from a young age he had a love for hospitality and a yearning to enter the Hospitality Industry and in 2016 an opportunity arose for Brian to finally move into hospitality full time. Both Brian and Nicole love road running and are members of the local West Coast Running Club and other hobbies include playing in an orchestra, reading and spending quality camp outs and fun time with their twin daughters.

Gull on the Bay Boutique Guest House has been designed Architecturally as a Guest House. This three storey home thus boasts many guest public areas where you can relax in total privacy. The home has a full guest gym, sauna and steam room, a guest library situated on the 3rd floor outside the Guest suites, a rim flow infinity pool with a wood and marble sun tanning deck. The home is situated on the hill above Bloubergstrand beach and every Suite and Guest public area has absolutely breath-taking views of the ocean, Table Mountain, Robben Island and surrounds.

The neighbourhood in which Gull on the Bay is situated is peaceful and quiet and is a wonderful place to visit for a short stay or extended holiday. The neighbourhood is on the beach front and hence Gull on the Bay is just 300 m from the beach and restaurants. You can spend time going for walks, cycling, running, bathing and eating out. A truly wonderful place!
