Ray and Angie acquired the property 20 years ago having been smitten by its quiet location, wonderful bird life and tranquil atmosphere. So much so that after 20 years together Ray proposed to Angie and the marriage took place in the garden followed by a wonderful reception. It was truly a Blessed day. Angie takes great pride in producing a scrumptious hearty breakfast, light snacks and dinners with as much local or homemade produce as possible and over the years has become a fountain of local tourist knowledge.

The Property with recently installed battery back up in case of Electricity load shedding is located in a peaceful valley surrounded by forest between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna. The view from our main deck at treetop level is often described as "a paradise". A wide variety of birds visit or live in the garden throughout the year such as the Knysna Loerie, Sunbirds, Black-headed Oriole, Giant Kingfisher and waterbirds often appear on the 7 dams. Early mornings are magical as the mist rises from the forest while late afternoon is so tranquil as the sun drops and the birds fly back to their nests, braai is lit and a chiiled out atmosphere descends ...

On our doorstep we have the Harkerville Saturday Market hosting the 5km Harkerville Parkrun/walk. Here is a great choice of breakfasts, quality local produce and crafts with a fabulous social vibe under the oak trees. Close by we have the Garden of Eden with the Harkerville Forest and its expanded cycle and hiking trails, Zipline Aventure , established birding routes, local vineyards of Luka and Packwood vine. Nearby is the Wolf Sanctuary, Kynsna Elephant Park, Radical Raptors and Adventureland Water Park, Shabby Fufu lifestyle Farm Stall ,horse-riding, quad-biking and a short distance to the Robberg Nature Reserve and Plettenberg Bay's Blue Flag beaches.
