Our father, Hans Kristen, was Born in 1941 on a Coffee farming estate in Tanzania. Among many adventures around the globe, he was well known for pioneering in the Gemstone mining industry in Tanzania, East Africa, where he was appointed as GM for operating and managing the mines. Later in life, he went on to purchase land in the Seychelles, where he met our mother Regine, and opened a chain of jewelry carrier stores. After the revolution in the Seychelles, they left shore together for South Africa, and built the first property in Newlands, Cape Town in 1983. Over the years, he built many houses in Newlands - but the now "Panorama Guest House" was always his 'prize'. The once family home was converted into a Guest House 10 years later, in 1994! Sadly - Hans passed away in December 2017. Today, we, his two children (Dirk and Karoline), along with the newly appointed General Manager (Herman) have taken on the commitment to continue operations, offering warm, professional 'home-style' stays, be it business or leisure, long or short. If you are looking to venture around Cape Town, we are situated 2.2km from the world famous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, 12 km from the V&A Waterfront and the Robben Island Ferry, 14 km from the Table Mountain Cableway as well as various sandy beaches. If arriving via airplane, we are a mere 19 km from the Cape Town International Airport.
