We are a Family run business and just love Country life, animals and nature.
We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and all ways of life. I love gardening and to be with my Horses, Donkeys & Poultry.
Louis my Husband is a amateur historian and local Battlefield enthusiast. He have a library and museum on local History and Memorabilia. He share his knowledge about Beekeeping, and discus and motivate on investments and Stock Market trading.
We just love to share our little paradise with all our guests.

Accommodation in the Countryside on a Jersey Dairy & Nguni Beef Cattle farm with historic sandstone homestead and cottages in the Skurweberg valley with great views, 8 km from Vryheid.
Neighbourhood information
We are situated among the premier Battlefields & history sights of Kwa-Zulu Natal
Blood River; Nkambula; Hlobane; Ulundi; Lancaster Hill; Scheepersnek; Spieshoek & Holkrans;
In the the town of Vryheid, we have the New Republic museum, & Lucas Meyer House and a lovely golf course, with pub and restaurant. Go on the self guided info tour to explore the Historic Buildings.
A visits with the family to the Itala game reserves is something special as the game are plentiful and tame. The Umfolozi game reserve & some private game farms are nearby
Day trips to Talana Museum, or the Ondini Cultural Museum and site of King Cetshwayo’s Royal Residence is also worth a visit Special excursions to all these sites can be organised.
Or just “Relax and unwind” making your choice from a book from our library or a stroll in the afternoon to watch the Nguni claves or the dairy cows being milked. Enjoy our mountain sunsets and Valley Views with the sound of birdsong.
