We are situated on what used to be a farm a long time ago but has now been separated into smallholdings. We built the house we currently live in and the house is too big just for my husband and so we decided to open up two of our bedrooms to have guests. We love to share our home with our guests. The apartment garden is private and is amazing for our guests from overseas and locally; beautiful views and so peaceful with a lot of bird life. We are on a hill and we do have a fairly challenging hike to the bottom to the river, the trail about 300m. There is a deck at the river for you to relax and fish on. The walk back is a challenge but can be done in 15 mins. Please note there are 6 steps down to the apartment from the parking area.

My Husband and I have been married for 42 years and have 2 grown up married children and 2 grandsons and an adopted young girl from our daughter, and a gorgeous grand daughter from my son who is now 7, 2024. We were brought up in Zimbabwe, have lived in London but call Gonubie our home... and always have felt like it. We have lived in Gonubie for 37 years and have seen lots of changes and love the fact that we are a little seaside village but totally self contained.

Gonubie is a small seaside village with a lovely beach, rocks for fishing and a beautiful tropical tidal river/lagoon that transports one to a different place. One can walk across our boardwalk from the hotel to the beach. Really beautiful. We are situated 2 minutes from Spar, Pick n Pay, Steers, Fishaways, Romans Pizza and a host of other shops. On the beach front which is 4 km down the main road, we have a hotel with great food and views and coffee shops. Gonubie has only one road in and out and so you can follow the road from our property down to the beach front and all the way around Gonubie and end up back on the main road, which is the road we are situated on just on the outskirts of Gonubie.
