Close to shops and public transport, secure, mountain hikes, fishing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, and canoeing can be done on the lake. Use of pool and barbeque area at your disposal. Safe, offstreet parking. We're situated halfway between cape town and cape point. Great beaches and picturesque Kalk Bay village nearby. Sunny and light, lovely garden, private entrance front and back of flatlet. Friendly, helpful hosts. There's a stove, microwave and smart TV with Netflix and Showmax. FREE wifi. Washing of clothes by arrangement 2 x a week, safe in wardrobe to secure valuables and a bamboo laptop stand, for added convenience. Great restaurants and nightlife in Muizenberg, which is 5 min drive from us. Vibey Friday night market where you will be able to meet a variety of people, from locals to travellers, as the area is popular with overseas students from all over the world.

Lakeside is a bird watcher's paradise, loved by dog walkers from the quiet suburb. Just adjacent lies Muizenberg, 5 minutes drive from our house. A famous surfer's paradise, where you can learn to surf. The surf shops hire out boards, wetsuits and instructors. There you will find restaurants and bars on the beachfront, where many people of all ages like to hang out. The next stop is Kalk Bay, a quaint artists village, with amazing shopping, eateries and the famous Brass Bell pub that sits on the rocks, overlooking the ocean. A little further down the line, you get Simonstown, where you can visit our endangered penquin colony and where you can catch a trip out to sea, to see some whales (in season). Then further down the line, you get to Cape Point - the tip of the peninsula, where the baboons may want to steal an ice-cream fro your hand (so watch out :)). The most amazing views from here over the 2 oceans on either side - the cold Atlantic and the warm Indian ocean. Then if you go in the opposite direction from our house towards Cape Town, there is the famous Table Mountain at the edge of the city, plus The Waterfront where you can do dozens of things.
