The room was bigger than I expect for an Ibis. There is a restaurant attached, with McDonald's next door, lots of options for meals. The bathroom made me think of a spaceship, which was fun; the shower was good. The public area on the main floor was comfortable, and they would get you coffee or tea if you asked. Parking was plentiful. Public transportation is not far and made it very easy to get into town. The second night, the restaurant was changing their menu, and we were invited to taste-test everything for free. It was excellent, and an example of how friendly and accommodating they are.

The ibis Herouville is located in Caen, 15 km from Caen Carpiquet airport and 5 km from the Parc des Expositions. It offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and 24-hour snack service. It was a beautiful, quiet location. The hotel was modern but very charming
