Very helpful and friendly staff, particularly Eduardo and Josephine, who couldn't have done enough for us. Helped us book an early morning taxi to paraty, put up with our terribly poor knowledge of Portuguese and wanted to practice English on us. Great breakfast every day, good coffee, freshly baked cakes delicious. Great location, 2 mins walk down a lane from the centre of Trindade beach and about 3 mins walk from the main centre, but enough away that was quieter... Although whole town pretty chilled and quiet anyway... Bliss. The whole place was spotless clean, our room was clean, made up daily. Room had a fridge, aircon and fan. Was perfect for us as we never spend time in rooms unless asleep. We were in a triple room in the annex.. Had a balcony with nice table and chairs to sit on and amazing views of the jungle. We stayed 5 nights and really loved the whole place location and value for money. Would recommend highly.

Loved our stay. The pousada is gorgeous. Spotless. Rooms were lovely. Very large bed which was very comfy. Rooms modern. Big smart tv in room. Staff so friendly and helpful. Big breakfast buffet in morning with lots of options. Outside area is really nice and pool is great. Location fantastic - just short walk across river and your in historic centre. Or less than 10 min to nearest beach. We were so pleasantly surprised with our stay and would highly recommend.

Apple House is a beautiful hotel, 5 fantastic swimming pools, a great games room for our children and they loved the ice cream shop too. The restaurant has fabulous room and the breakfast is to die for, so much choice and the desserts are unreal. The staff are amazing, everyone we met walking along greats you a big smile, the stay go out of their way to do everything for you from checking in to arranging the transfers into Paraty each day and evening. Tassiana was amazing for organising the boat cruise, which was unbelievable, she really couldn’t do enough for us. Going up and beyond and awaiting when we needed some urgent laundry taken care of she arrange this for us too and also arranging a really nice transfer for us to Ilha Grande. Thank you Tassiana for everything and all the other staff at Apple House.

    Lovely quiet location off the main street but with very easy access to the beaches. Rustical chalet with lovely view from the terrace. Spotlessly clean and nice warm shower. The best are the owners Leila and Marcelo! So super sweet, kind and helpful despite our lack of Portuguese they could always use translator. The breakfast is amazing, served directly on your private terrace and each day with a special surprise. All homemade. One of the best breakfasts I have had in Brazil. I would definately come back here in a heartbeat.

    Great location only two minutes off the main street; therefore no unsolicited exposure to live music from the restaurants; 5 min walking to Praia do Rancho and Praia do Meio; rustic structure; good breakfast including a surprise bakery product every day; strong wifi; comfy bed; I'd stay there again
