As a gardener, I could not resist this special place, designed by a landscape designer, for my first stay in the Atlantic rainforest. The beautiful grounds give way to total nature in steps. It was quiet and comfortable, a true getaway from it all but easy to reach town in minutes by boat. The walk to Abraao is worth doing once, but make use of the convenient boat to reach the more impressive hiking paths on the island. We enjoyed listening to the frogs and birds—watch out for hummingbirds and bright blue butterflies. The breakfast and dinner was fantastic.

Pousada Tropical Araçatiba is located in Praia de Araçatiba, 9 km from Bananal Bay and just 1 minute from the Beach. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Had a wonderful time at pousada tropical in Araçatiba! Close to the beach, nice rooms, and a very nice buffet. The coconut cake was to die for, absolutely delicious! The staff was wonderful! They really made my stay all the more magical. As i was there alone they were always there for a chat and even took me with them to dinner in the evening! I met them as staff, and am happy to call them friends by the end of my stay! Thank you very much to this wonderful team!

Everything was great! The drop off with the boat directly at the Pousada is very convenient. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They don’t speak English though which makes it difficult sometimes but they are eager to communicate anyway and help with whatever you need. The breakfast is amazing! And the view stunning! Would have liked to stay longer.

The location is perfect — peaceful, close to the beach, and surrounded by the lush natural beauty of the island. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy, and the breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, setting the perfect tone for a day of exploring. What truly made my experience memorable, though, was the hospitality. A special mention goes to Lucas — he is such a sweetheart! He was incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. From giving local tips to making sure everything was just right. I highly recommend staying here if you want a mix of comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality. Can’t wait to come back!
