It's rare for us to get such a good experience from hosts! Otherwise, the location was perfect for us, and having a parking spot nearby really helped us when we were arriving late at night from the Summerside Festival in a nearby town. The apartment itself was large and comfortable, and it was great to have a balcony we could relax at the end of a long day.

Throughout the evening and night, I was constantly looking through the window to admire the scenery. The food en breakfast was good, and the personal was very kind. Definitely one of the most scenic and memorable stays we ever had.

The location is amazing, and it was fantastic to have free parking right on site. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

At the inn all rooms are fitted with a shared bathroom. the hut is in a beautiful location, the staff was so friendly and helpful and the provided dinner and breakfast were delicious! Very well located to explore the area!

The room was not only spacious and incredibly comfortable, but it also offered a breathtaking view. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional customer service. After accidentally leaving our camera behind, we faced the unfortunate reality that returning to retrieve it wasn’t an option. Yet, the staff and manager at Hotel Steinbock went above and beyond to ensure it was safely returned to us. Their kindness, honesty, and dedication were absolutely remarkable—and deeply appreciated. In a world where such genuine helpfulness is rare, their actions left a lasting impression on me. Whenever I return to Lauterbrunnen, there’s no question—I’ll be staying at Hotel Steinbock again and again.

The Alpenblick hotel is a family business, situated about 600 metres from the centre of Grindelwald, right at the ski slope and a bus stop, and offers nice rooms and tasty food.

In the restaurant and on the sunny terrace guests can select from fresh hot sandwiches, steaks, salads and desserts. Cheese fondue is available as well. Great location, nice restaurant and bar, very decent complementary breakfast, comfy bunk bed in the dorm room and all at a really good price!
