We were a family of 2 parents and their 3 adult daughters, 2 son in laws and 2 babies.. 3 months old and six months old. The appartment ( former palace) is located in the centre of Lucca but on a side street which is a bit quieter. There are 3 good size bedrooms for couples and a comfy pullout couch. Luc also provided us with 2 portable cribs for the babies. The bedrooms were quiet and there were doors into the lounge, kitchen and double doors from the bedrooms to the common areas . This was awesome to keep crying babies from waking up others. The kitchen was very well appointed as well as beautiful… soaring ceilings and a lovely chandelier. Loads of pots, pans, dishes … and seating for 8 plus a high chair. Good laundry machine and drying rack were put to use. Grocery store a 5 minute walk Luc was friendly and had lots of reccomendations for the area. The cafe next door was lovely. We stayed for 7 nights. A great property.

B&B Villa Anna is located just outside Lucca's ancient walls and provides accommodation with free WiFi. Everything was absolutely perfect! My girlfriend and I, as we were leaving Lucca, simply said to each other – we must write the best possible review, Max truly deserves it. From the very first contact, when he greeted us so warmly, to the room itself (which was even better than the one we had booked), the breakfast service, and all the effort he put into explaining what’s worth seeing in Lucca and what’s not… we were just more than satisfied. The additional bathroom was a massive bonus when travelling as a family, The hosts were really welcoming and provided us with lots of useful information and tips for great places to visit that we wouldn't have found ourselves. There were two restaurants and a bar within easy walking distance, plus a small supermarket selling lots of essential practically next door.
