The location of the hotel in the tower over the station suited our transport plans in being conveniently close to both train and the hire car office that we used.

The staff were absolutely incredible; we had to have our bags shipped down to Osaka due to smaller stops in Tokyo and Mt Fuji (too short to be able to guarantee the bags would arrive on time) which is a crazy distance. The ladies at the Information Centre were able to explain the process for this and even drew us a map to get to the shuttle bus to the train station and encouraged us to take a jacket and do a practice walk the night before. The tour we booked was also fantastic, and the food and local beer was great too. The room was incredible; it was so affordable for the space you're given and relaxing in the onsen overlooking the ballpark was an unforgettable experience, they even have snacks and a bar! Everyone we came across was so lovely, even other people staying were interested to hear about our trip as it's not a common place to find foreigners.

Everything was clean and the facilities are everything you’d need in your stay. If you are coming from Asahikawa airport then it’s around the corner from one of the bus stops. That will also take you up to the resort in the morning. In the neighborhood there are restaurants, ramen shops, convinis and a supermarket. The nightlife of central Furano is not bustling but there are plenty dotted around this property to feed and water you.
