Bathrooms were clean and had all the essentials. Great location and very central, a short walk to the busy centre of Hanoi. The staff!!!!! I have never met staff that are so helpful and kind. They will do absolutely anything for you to make your stay perfect and also are great to help with booking days out etc. They gave me a free upgrade with a window when I was feeling unwell and a gift of coffee bags and a grinder to take home. Nothing is too much for this lovely team of staff.

At the hotel, every room is equipped with a desk. With a private bathroom equipped with a bidet and free toiletries, certain rooms at HOTEL du LAC Hanoi also provide guests with a city view. All units in the accommodation are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer. We stayed at the sunset terrace suite which was wonderful. The staff is particularly attentive and helped us with making phone calls and booking tours efficiently. After sales service was also very good as they replied promptly to my request!

The staff were very kind and the stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was great and a very short walk to Train street. What we were really grateful for is that we were traveling to Sapa a few nights before by overnight train and we needed a place to shower before boarding the night train. I thought of reaching out to this hotel since we had a booking with them, and they allowed us to shower in their lobby toilet. It is by no means a fancy toilet, but it did the job and my sister and I could get a shower and wait in the lobby for a few hours before going to the train station. We were also able to exchange our Aussie money for Vietnamese Dong at reception.
