Location overlooking the Arenal volcano. Great thermal pools where you can relax and admire the volcano. The property has its own small garden where you can see butterflies, birds and other animals as well as a variety of flora - a big plus. Breakfasts with a lot of choice. However, it is a typical resort, so there are a lot of guests, although the pools were not crowded.

La Roca Negra is like staying in paradise! The wildlife is amazing, particularly the birds. I saw dozens of species, just walking around, including many humming birds, tanegers, and a white hawk. I also spotted a family of agouti. When the weather clears there is also a view of the volcano.

Amazing views of volcano and the bungalows were clean, well maintained with very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was great temperature. Gardens were stunning
