We were walking distance from the famous El Escorial Monastery. The Hotel also has a good Restaurant, and we were walking distance from most Restaurants in the old city. (We would have loved a kettle in the room to be able to have an early morning coffee !!) Just 5 mins walk. The railway station 30 mins. I had very nice walk to the town center with nice restaurants and bars.
