I have stayed in Montague on the Gardens Hotel when I came for a conference at London University. I like this excellent hotel. The Location, my room and the breakfast were excellent. I appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. I am so happy to have stayed there once again. It is comfortable and I also adore the atmosphere of this beautiful hotel. I would like to thank all the staff for their kindness.

The Christmas decorations at the Savoy were something from a fairy tale or a movie! The staff were some of the best we've ever experienced in any 5-star hotel - they consistently went above and beyond when we had the slightest wish. The whole experience was one of pure luxury, yet it was also relaxing. There wasn't an atmosphere of arrogance or privilege as one might fear in such hotels, and yet at the same time, the legend of the Savoy was felt everywhere. We appreciated being able to order a little Christmas tree for our room, as we spent Christmas Eve and Day there, and there were little chocolate-y surprises for us in our room, which made it extra special. We had booked at stay where breakfast was included, and it was so nice to just indulge in the generous selection every morning. It is no exaggeration that we consistently ate too much, as it was all of amazing quality. We had also booked a table for afternoon tea, which was likewise lovely, and we had booked at table at the American Bar, another popular destination for guests and outsiders as well, so booking is recommended. These all made the experience even better. The location is perfect for walking to all the sights of central London, as the hotel is situated between the Thames and Covent Garden, only a five-minute walk from either, and about a 15-minute walk from Trafalgar Square. This meant you didn't have to constantly take the Underground to go to places. We also walked to the Southside over the nearby Waterloo Bridge, from where we could see the London Eye and Big Ben, and we walked to St. Paul's Cathedral in the other direction.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Stay – Truly Exceptional Hotel & Staff! From the moment we arrived, we were treated with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable stay. The hotel itself is stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the well-stocked amenities, showed a clear commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the staff. Every single person we encountered was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Whether it was the front desk helping with our special requests, the housekeeping team keeping everything spotless.

British Museum

As Great Britain’s Empire expanded, so did its cache of material treasures – many of which are on display in this world-class museum. Among its eight million exhibits, you'll find the stunning Elgin Marbles from Greece, the Benin Bronzes and the legendary Rosetta Stone. The Reading Room stands at its heart and is spectacular in size and scope.

This is a fabulous museum, and takes more than a day to see.

This is a fabulous museum, and takes more than a day to see. We paid for an early tour, which was nice, but perhaps unnecessary. It was a fairly crowded Saturday in September, but it's so big viewers are able to spread out. Not sure what it would be like in the summer. I would love to go back and allow for 3 shorter days. We were exhausted after 8 hour.

Get a guided tour. I normally like to explore places under my own steam. However I have missed so much in this incredible museum before my American Cousin persuaded me to join her on a tour! Also sometimes retired professors do free mini tours of their chosen subject. I enjoyed a fascinating tour of the Elgin/Parthanon marbles

We were overwhelmed by the number of noisy visitors first thing in the morning. It was not a warm day but it was very stuffy and there was no air flow through a lot of the galleries. The information tags on some of the exhibits were poorly placed and very difficult to read unless you were right up close.

Pre-book a ticket or go on a late opening evening ( The queues can be very long). The Egyptian /Assyrian statues and monuments are spectacular ,asare the controversial Elgin marbles. For intrinsic British exhibits, Roman Britain is fascinating. The reading room is hosting an exhibition at the moment. A very interesting space set in The Great Court. Top tip _ don't try to see everything in one visit. Plan and Prioritize!! Top Tip:

The location right in front the British Museum and close to everything. The towels were very soft and I appreciated the samples of conditioner, shampoo and shower gel. The room was very big with comfortable pillows. The toilet was outside the room but it was not shared in our case. We found it clean and tidy.

The hotel is perfectly located, right in the center of Piccadilly. It’s a great base for exploring the city on foot, with theaters just minutes away and famous landmarks like Big Ben and the British Museum, all within a 30-minute walk. Check-in was quick. The capsule itself was cozy, the mattress was comfortable, and having a mirror and power outlets inside made it especially practical for charging devices or getting ready. Keep in mind you have to have a padlock to lock your capsule when you leave.
