Every single aspect of the Balmoral is five star - from the location to the facilities and hospitality. The reception team and concierge were courteous and welcoming, and the fantastic housekeeping staff were meticulous and left no stone unturned in ensuring that the room was well appointed and well stocked at all times! The level of attention to the most trivial detail is what makes this a truly five star experience.

Very comfortable stay at this friendly and modern hostel. The location is the biggest positive: two minutes from Edinburgh Waverley Station, and a short walk from Princes Street and the city centre. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the shower room was clean and modern. We really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee, and the included breakfast was simple (toast, cereal, eggs) but welcome. The common space is also a lovely area to hang out, relax and chat with other guests, or do some work in a quiet moment. Recommended!

It has a very good location very close to Edinburgh Waverley station. Our room (front of building on level 6) had a great view of Carlton Hill. We had breakfast in the hotel on two mornings which had plenty of choice and was of satisfactory quality. We found the bed very comfortable.

Very large, spacious, well maintained and appointed apartment with great views. We were at the top of a Georgian townhouse in the heart of Edinburgh so had great views north to the Firth of Forth and south to the Castle. There is no lift, but the wide staircase is easy to manage. Exceptionally comfortable and good choice of artwork, posters and prints. All within 10 mins walk of Edinburgh Waverley station.
