This hotel is exceptional. I'd like to mention Simon, Rose and Loretta (who when seating us seemed genuinely interested in our comfort and happiness!) in the restaurant. There was also an Italian man (who has lived in Wales for years) who was very helpful and accommodating at dinner. In the spa Linda (another Italian) was really friendly and did a fabulous massage. Bria did a wonderful job making up our room everyday. We would like to thank them all for making our trip to Cardiff so memorable. Apparently the Manager is Mr Parry. I didn't meet him but I think he must be, at the very least, :) a fair person to work for when the staff members are as nice as they were and the general feeling is one of aimable coherence!

    There are some very beautiful rooms in the hotel - the large conference room, like much of the hotel has wood panelling and ornamentation. it even has a balcony all the way around the room. Added to that it was the site of the signing of the world's first ever £Million cheque. The staff were happy to talk about the hotel's history. It is also comfortable and well positioned for the theatre / Opera house and Cardiff Bay. No more than a two minute walk from The Big plaza and Mermaid Quay.

    Comfortable hotel in a superb location. 10 minutes walking distance to mermaid quay and train station. Friendly staff, sizeable room, clean, quiet, and comfortable.

    Beautiful location. We were given a free upgrade to a Tiger Bay Suite which was amazing. We ate at the hotel two evenings - one in the Restaurant, the other we had Room Service - food was excellent both times. Breakfasts really good too. Very comfy bed. Loved sitting watching the boats going in and out of Mermaid Quay - so relaxing
