What a treasure! We definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay there again if we return to Jerusalem. The thing that impressed us the most was the friendly, professional and careful service. We were welcomed with warm hospitality. Someone went with my husband to park our car in a nearby lot. The rooms were fabulous-- stone walls and antique furniture. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom had nice shampoo, lotion etc and a powerful, hot shower. We enjoyed a delicious traditional dinner in the restaurant and generous breakfast the following morning. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Garden Tomb and the old city of Jerusalem (Damascus gate). We were a group of 6 people (3 rooms) and everyone was fully satisfied!

The hotel grounds are beautiful, with a lovely, lush garden in between the stone buildings of the estate. Ample free parking was available on site. The service was superb, all staff were helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was rich and tasty, and there was a selection of vegan items available upon request. Complimentary beverages and water bottles were stocked daily in the room, and having a Nespresso coffee machine complete with capsules in the room was lovely. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the approaching Christmas holiday and the festive atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, which is comfortable and cozy, lovely for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.

    Clean, great and friendly room service. Nice kictchenette. And the best shower gel/shampoo we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Restaurants and bars right around the corner and even our arrival on Shabbat there was something to find. The park view is unique, and the distance to the old city (Jaffa gate) is a nice walk mainly through the super modern Manilla shopping street.

    The New Imperial is a charming, genuinely old, family-run (multi-generational) hotel. its location is unparalleled as it is inside Jaffa Gate and opposite to the Tower of David. Its rooftop gives an excellent view of the surrounding area. The staff were all charming and very attentive (and got up early to prepare an early breakfast for us).

    Lovely apartment in the city centre. We wanted location close to the Old city and we could reach Jaffa gate in less then 10min walk. When we were reading comments about the apartment in advance, there was written, thet there are no shutter on the windows. But there are.

    Everything was excellent. The location is brilliant: 20 min walk to Jaffa Gate, 5 min to Mahane Yehudah market, 10 min by light train to central bus and train stations The apartment is clean, and there is everything as in a 4 * hotel plus kitchen appliances and fridge and washing machine There is one bedroom and one living room with the couch We stayed for two weeks in February'25 I would recommend the apartment and the owner. Thank you!

    Lovely hideway in the better Jerusalem suburb. Jaffa Gate is 25 minutes walk. Taxi easy to take at the nearby Inbal hotel. The owner David is very reactive and helpful. Accomodation is clean, air conditioned, all you need. Nice gardon with pomegranates and lemons!

    The location near the Jaffa Gate was great! The apartment was very clean. Great view from the rooftop. Great little shops and restaurants near the Jaffa gate. We loved the Samara Restaurant for breakfast (eggs, pancakes) run by 3 Christian brothers, and the Versavee Restaurant near the Imperial Hotel for dinner. The food was amazing! Ask for Jacob. And the little shop in between for water, Israeli SIM cards, chocolate, and wine. :) Looking forward to returning to Jerusalem one day, but coming in the spring or Autumn. Summers are hot! :)

    The hotel has a perfect location within walking distance of the Old town. Jaffa Gate is just a 10 minute walk away. There is also a light tram station nearby. Do not expect a hotel as a building. The hotel consists of nice rooms located on one floor of an apartment building. There is a small reception at the entrance. The staff is very helpful. Outside there is a nice seating area with armchairs and sunshades.
