It takes 15 min till nearest Rialto stop from Santa Lucia train station by water bus. And 7 min walking to Hotel Palazzo Vitturi. Reason why we chose this hotel is that it locates two (San Marco & Rialto Bridge) important places very closely. Also, easy access(12 min walking) to ‘Fondamente nove Sta.’ (water bus stop) for Murano Island. This 13th century building is well renovated, and room is spacious. It was hot day but inside was kept cool and comfortable. All staffs are kind and room clearing is good, too. Breakfast has a lot of varieties and it’s one of the unforgettable moments looking at square and historical church from breakfast salon.

Murano

A quick vaporetto ride whisks you from central Venice to laid-back Murano, the glass-blowing capital of the world. An archipelago of seven tiny islands connected by bridges, Murano is just a mile across and best explored on foot. Its maze of narrow streets and canals inspire dreamy wandering, with ancient churches and medieval glassworks hidden around every corner.

We visited Murano and Burano Islands.

We visited Murano and Burano Islands. Our boat ride was very noisy so we could not hear the tour guide at all as he spoke about the sites on our way to the islands. The tours on the islands themselves were very good. The glass blowing experience was very informative and our guide shared some personal experiences about growing up on Burano Island. Definitely recommend this 1/2 trip.

So glad we decided to stay in Murano our first three nights...

So glad we decided to stay in Murano our first three nights in Italy. We were so curious about the canals and booking the water taxi was the perfect way to transport from the station, seeing much of Venice as we made our way to Murano, and the next day to the other island stops. We enjoyed visiting the shops along the canals in Murano and also walking the interior. It's interesting and beautiful. We enjoyed outside patio dining at Osteria al Duomo so much we returned a second night. They also have later dining hours than most of the restaurants. Great food, atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's a hidden gem you will discover after walking through to the back door and onto the patio area. Don't let the front entrance appearance fool you. Enjoy!

Laura was a wonderful host and the room is great. Modern shower, comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen space, and two GREAT working ACs. Laura went above and beyond to help me recover something I left in the room upon departure. In addition, if you are interested in going to Murano for any glassblowing activities, the location is ideal. It's in a tucked away quiet part of the city, but easy to get to all of the major attractions within a 15 minute walk. I would happily stay here again.

Close to the ferry to go to Murano and Burano. Quieter as it's further out of central Venice

We got the room with the most beautiful view over Venice, Murano island, and iner green jard. View from the windows was just amazing. The room itself was very simple, a little bit old - fashioned. Location and view from the window gave extra bonuses. Wateport station is just near the hotel, and it's takes just 15 minutes by foot to get to Realto. The hotel is located in a quiet area away from crowds, and it's more local things you can find around.

Location is amazing - right near Rialto Bridge and ferry terminal. Great for a family with 2 full size beds and a full size sofa bed. Floor cooling system means the property was comfortable even when Venice was hot and humid. We were also given complimentary transfer to, and tour of, Murano glass factory which was great.

Location was brilliant, could not be better to visit Pallazo Ducale and Basilica San Marco. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and spoke English. The room is comfortable and has quality amenities. Breakfast was in another location but very appropriate. Included a visit to Murano that I was not aware, did not go as I had already planned my visit. Gondola station in small canal few meters away.

Quite but well connected area of Venice. Spacious but cosy room. All the amenities worked well. Easy to understand instructions on how to enter. Particularly good location for Murano and Burano day trips, with ferries close by.

The location is perfect. Extremely peaceful but still only a 1 minute walk to the hustle of Venice, cafes, shops, canals and maze of streets. And a short walk to catch the ferry to Burano and Murano islands. I loved the peaceful sunny courtyard outside our apartment and ability to water taxi direct to the apartments own wharf. Very authentic accommodation. Very comfortable bed. Washing machine and dryer a bonus and well equipped kitchen. We would stay here again.
