I would recommend visiting the Roman Theater in Amman for its impressive architectural design and historical significance. This well-preserved theater, dating back to the 2nd century AD, offers a glimpse into ancient Roman life. The seating arrangement and stunning views of the surrounding city make it a great spot for photography.

Our hotel Concorde was opposite the Roman Theatre and it is the first day we went to see this and it is free entry with Jordan Pass. Interesting walk up and lovely view. Advised not to go when it raining and there is no safety as rock tend to be slippery and nothing to hold on. There is two free museum adjacent to this and worth visiting about History of Jordan life.

    Great place.

Great place. Shame you now have to pay to get in but fortunately not very expensive. Kids love running up and around the amphitheatre, but it is scary high and steep. Surprisingly few people tumble down the steps, but not great to go to the top unless you have a head for heights. You are daft if you visit Amman and a)don't visit the theatre, and b) take a walk through downtown Amman looking for one of the many cafes and restaurants that cater for locals. Folk are almost always incredibly kind even if you can't communicate. Take a risk and try something random off the Arabic menu, or ask someone to suggest something.
