Namba station has a direct train to Nara city. The hostel is pretty large with 6 floors and well organized. It's more of a capsule hotel. Capsules have a futon bed and are equipped with a TV. Staff are friendly and smiley. The area is very vibrant right in your doorstep. 7-10 mins walk to Shinsaibashi station, 15 mins to Nankai Namba station. They have a water refill station, coin-operated washing machine, and breakfast is good. I liked having an apartment all to ourselves, complete with a mini kitchen, balcony, and washing machine. On the downside, I found the bed very uncomfortable and the lamp in the room didn't work. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as smooth as possible and even drove us to the airport bus pick up point to make sure we were at the airport on time. Not to mention the location couldn’t be better. It is a three-minute walk to Namba Station subway and the Dotonbori area is literally on your doorstep. This is the perfect stay for Osaka.
